Uncertainty phase in East Iceland has been lifted

The Commissioner of the Icelandic Police and the District Chief of Police in East Iceland  have decided to lift the Civil Protection uncertainty phase due to heavy rain and flooding in East Iceland, that was declared on September 28th 2017. The risk of flooding and landslides has decreased but known landslides areas in the district will continue to be monitored.

Civil Protection uncertainty phase is still in effect in South Iceland.
