This morning the Meteorological Office declared an uncertainty phase, due to the risk of snow avalanches in northern Iceland. Blizzard conditions are in the forecast and snow avalanches are likely in mountainous areas in places like Skagafjörður, Tröllaskagi and east of Eyjafjörður.
