Þjónustumiðstöð almannavarna hefur verið opnuð á Seyðisfirði. Ríkislögreglustjóri hefur heimild til að starfrækja tímabundna þjónustumiðstöð þegar hættu ber að garði eða hún er um garð gengin.
Þjónustumiðstöðin er til húsa í Herðubreið, menningar- og félagsheimili Seyðisfjarðar, og verður opnunartíminn fram að áramótum eins og hér segir:
- 23. desember, klukkan 11 – 18
- 27-30 desember, klukkan 11 – 18
- 31. desember, klukkan 11 – 13
Opnunartími þjónustumiðstöðvar eftir áramótin verður ákveðinn í lok ársins. Þjónustumiðstöðin verður opin eins lengi og hennar er þörf.
Verkefni þjónustumiðstöðvar felast meðal annars í upplýsingagjöf til almennings og þjónustu við þá aðila sem hafa orðið fyrir tjóni og hin tiltekna hætta hefur haft önnur bein áhrif á. Auk þess annast þjónustumiðstöðin, í samvinnu við hlutaðeigandi yfirvöld og stofnanir, samskipti við fjölmiðla vegna aðgerða sem gripið er til hverju sinni.
Íbúar eru hvattir til að nýta sér þjónustumiðstöðina með öll þau erindi sem á þeim hvíla varðandi atburði síðustu daga á Seyðisfirði.

The National Commissioner of the Icelandic Police Opens a Civil Protection Service Center in Seyðisfjörður
A Civil Protection Service Center has been opened in Seyðisfjörður. The National Commissioner of Police is authorized to operate a temporary service center in the case of emergencies or in the aftermath of an emergency event.
The Service Center is located in Herðubreið, Seyðisfjörður’s cultural and social center, and the opening hours until the end of the year will be as follows:
- December 23th, 11:00 – 18:00
- December 27-30th, 11:00 – 18:00
- December 31st, 11:00 – 13:00
The opening hours of the service center in the new year will be decided at the end of this year. The service center will be open for as long as necessary.
The role of the service center is to communicate information to the public and provide services to those who have suffered losses due to the mudflow as well as assisting with other factors which have been affected by this hazardous situation. In addition, the Service Center, in cooperation with the relevant authorities and institutions, is responsible for communicating with the media with regard to the measures being taken at any given time.
Residents are encouraged to communicate any comments or concerns to the Service Center regarding the events of the last few days in Seyðisfjörður, as well as taking advantage of the services provided there.

Krajowy komisarz policji otwiera centrum Departamentu Ochrony Ludności w Seyðisfjörður
W Seyðisfjörður zostało otwarte Centrum Departamentu Ochrony Ludności. Krajowy Komisarz Policji jest upoważniony do prowadzenia tymczasowego centrum serwisowego w przypadku powstałych lub przewidywanych szkód lub zagrożenia .
Centrum usług znajduje się w Herðubreið, w menningar- og félagsheimili Seyðisfjarðar (Dom Kultury), które do Nowego Roku będzie otwarte w następujący sposób:
- 23 grudnia, godz. 11-18
- 27-30 grudnia, godz. 11 – 18
- 31 grudnia, godz. 11-13
Godziny otwarcia centrum po Nowym Roku zostaną ustalone pod koniec roku. Centrum serwisowe będzie otwarte tak długo, jak będzie istniała taka potrzeba.
Do zadań centrum usług należy udzielanie informacji społeczeństwu oraz świadczenie usług osobom, które poniosły szkody, lub w przypadku gdy zagrożenie miało inny bezpośredni na nich wpływ. Ponadto centrum usług we współpracy z odpowiednimi władzami i instytucjami komunikuje się z mediami w zakresie podejmowanych w danym momencie działań.
Mieszkańców zachęca się do korzystania z centrum obsługi wm związku ze wszystkimi sprawami, które spoczywają na nich w związku z wydarzeniami ostatnich dni w Seyðisfjörður.
